Our little company was born in June of 2006 out of the necessity for a practical yet beautiful hat to protect my baby’s noggin. Growing up in a traditional “Yankee” family, it was always important to make sure that the little ones were guarded from the sun and the cold. After two years of grown-ups trying to squeeze their noggins into our Big Kid sizes, we finally took the hint and created our first line of Adult lids.
The
Cog is our twist on a time honored favorite bucket lid. They are made
from beautiful fabrics. They are comfortable, durable, protect you from
the sun, and more importantly, the Paparazzi! The Cog is perfect for
reading a novel on the beach, taking your dog for a stroll in the park,
or hiding "mommy hair", when needing to run out for a quick errand.
Since that first summer, The Little Hat Company has shipped to five
continents and across the United States; opened a retail store selling
hats, baby gear and toys; launched a website and appeared in numerous
articles and magazines. We are focused on building a
national brand and welcome your pictures and stories for our blog,
